Neighbourhood Group Uses Facebook To Shame Customers Of "Travestis"
A neighbourhood group in Alajuela tired of transvestites (travestis) offering sexual favours in their streets have taken to the social media to shame customers and force authorities to react.

Using Facebook, the group is publishing license plate numbers of "johns" cruising for gay sex.

The neighbourhood is Corazón de Jesús, where residents complain regularly of travestis having sex with customers openly on the streets and though have the support of the local detachment of the Fuerza Pública (police) and the Policía Municipal (municipal police), the situation continues.

And that is why some its members have taken to the social media like Facebook in publishing license plate numbers and the names and identify of the vehicle's registered owners.

The Facebook page by Randall Quesada warns the registered owners that their vehicles may be used to troll their streets without their knowledge, without directly accusing anyone directly.

In an report on Inside Costa Rica , "Travestis" Seize Alajuela Neighbourhood" Alajuela resident Olman Quesada stated, "here live decent people. We have children and do not want to see the scenes on the streets".
