Fires
The
summer
or dry
season
in Costa
Rica is
great
for
vacationing,
but is
the
spark of
brush
fires
that can
easily
spread
to full
blown
forest
fires.
And that
is the
reason
behind
the
intense
and
exhaustive
training
that
bomberos
(firefighters)
and
members
of the
emergency
brigade
against
forest
fires
that go
through.
ON
Saturday
at least
175
people
took
part in
the
traning
progam,
testing
skills
and
physical
endurance
against
the
clock,
carrying
equipment
and
hoses,
put down
fires as
quickly
as
possible.
The
event
that
carries
into
today is
organized
by the
Comision
Nacional
de
Incendios
Foresales,
all with
the
objective
of being
ready if
and when
needed.
