El Salvador To Host Regional Forum of Social Policies

San Salvador -  The 8th Forum of Ministers of Social Development in Latin America will be held in El Salvador on Monday and Tuesday, announced the government.

An official release said that President Mauricio Funes will lead the inauguration ceremony of the event.

The Vice President and Education minister (ad Honorem Salvador Sanchez Ceren reported that the meeting is aimed at promoting social policies of youth and social inclusion in the region.

The Minister of labour and Social Prevision Humberto Centeno added the Forum will provide cooperation and exchange of good practices.

The meeting is sponsored by the UN organizations for Education, science and Culture (UNESCO) in the framework of the Program of Actions of Social Transformation of the Organization

The forum will be attended by the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) the International Labour Organization (ILO) Ibero American organizations and regional institutions studying the social item.

Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, France, Honduras, Uruguay, Panamá, Perú and México will particípate, among others.

Sanchez Ceren said that the result of the forum will be the design and implementation of strategic and efficient policies for development involving youth and social inclusion.
