Nicaragua: Sandinistas are Closing Electoral Campaign

Sandinistas in Nicaragua will have new activities on Tuesday in the electoral campaign in the western part of the country, for the upcoming elections on Nov 6, in which President Daniel Ortega hopes to be reelected.

According to the propaganda spread on local radio stations, the celebrations will take place in Masaya, Carazo, Granada and Rivas departments.

As in previous occasions, vice president Omar Halleslevens, representing United Nicaragua Triumphs Alliance, headed by governing Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN, is expected to participate in the activities.

In the last hours, Halleslevens toured the capital departments of Madriz, Nueva Segovia and Esteli, where he was welcomed with massive popular support, according to a report of El 19 Digital website.

Caravans of vehicles, motorcycles, bikes and hundreds of thousands Nicaraguans, joined the retired general, who since some months ago, had been travelling on horseback, throughout the different places of this Central American nation as Ortega's mate.

In each meeting, Halleslevens repeated the FSLN's commitment to bring peace to the people and national reconciliation after years of war; as well as a good government focused on the needs, demands and aspirations of the citizens.
