OAS
Report
on
Elections
Nicaragua
rejected
a
report
presented
by a
commission
of
the
Organization
of
American
States
on
the
recently
held
elections
in
the
country,
which
considered
the
voting
false,
and
regarded
it
as a
destabilizing
plan
by
the
United
States.
Nicaraguan
Ambassador
Denis
Moncada
said
the
statements
in
the
report,
saying
that
access
to
several
voting
stations
was
denied
to
the
OAS
representative
group
during
the
elections
were
false,
and
had
"no
objectivity,
impartiality
or
transparency."
"Some
members
of
the
OAS
mission
lied
on
the
information
they
supplied.
It
is
unacceptable
that
some
members
of
the
OAS
mission
have
supplied
false
information,"
said
the
Nicaraguan
diplomat.
"This
political
and
financial
electoral
interference
has
been
systematic
by
agents
from
the
US
and
countries
from
Europe,
in
all
the
elections
held
in
Nicaragua,"
he
said.
"We
condemn
foreign
governments'
interfering
in
our
electoral
process,
using
their
officials
from
their
credited
embassies,
trying
to
destabilize
and
discredit
our
own
country,"
Moncada
concluded.
