Legislators
Are
An
enquiry
exposes
that
seven
in
every
ten
Costa
Rican
signore
who
are
the
members
of
their
Legislative
Assembly.
The
poll
with
1,200
interviewees
and
95%
reliability
shows
the
Legislators
are
perfect
strangers
and
fail
to
name
at
least
one
after
27
months
of
being
elected.
Just
seven
percent
was
able
to
mention
one;
20
percent
just
uttered
the
name
of
some
one
he/she
consider
a
Legislator
and
is
not;
and
51
percent
avoided
responding
to
the
Unimer
poll
for
La
Nacion.
Another
47
percent
rated
as
bad
or
very
bad
the
work
of
Congress;
29
percent
rated
it
as
regular
and
just
9
percent
says
the
Assembly's
work
is
fine
while
15
percent
chose
not
to
answer.
While
in
April
this
year
38
percent
claimed
to
know
about
their
work,
in
July
the
figure
rose
five
points,
and
the
percentage
of
those
who
knew
nothing
dropped
from
57
percent
to
53,
admitting
Unimer
to
the
rising
interest
for
the
work
in
Parliament.
