No London Olympic Games In English in Costa Rica

Watching the London Olympic games in English was turned off last week, as Tigo (Amnet) and CableTica were forced to replace the CBS transmission with a notice screen.



During the first few days of the games, both cable companies continued their CBS transmissions, including the games.

But, a couple of days later, viewers were told that the channel will off air during the games and directed to the Repretel channels 4, 6 and 11.

The Repretel transmissions and commentary are only in Spanish.

Repetrel has the exclusive rights to broadcast the games in Costa Rica.
