Tropical Storm Ernesto Brings Heavy Rain to El Salvador

The National Service of Territorial Studies (SNET) forecast for today and tomorrow in El Salvador widespread scattered showers due to the passage of Tropical Storm Ernesto by the Caribbean.

Indirect effects are estimated by the accumulation of moisture transported from the Caribbean Sea, and from the Pacific Ocean by the approach of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, the agency said.

SNET announces that precipitation will be more pronounced in the morning tomorrow, when Ernesto is over Belize.

In its forecast the SNET warns there will be storms with strong electrical activity, while gusts of winds may occur in the north and the volcanic chain.
