arrived
in
Costa
Rica
by
air,
sea
and
land.
The
number
of
arrivals
is
an
increase
of
7.4%
over
the
same
period
last
year.
The
Liberia
airport
in
Guanacaste
saw
the
largest
increase
in
arrivals,
26%
over
last
year.
The
San
José
airport
had
655.000
arrivals
of
the
900.000
(70%)
of
all
arrivals
by
air
according
to
the
immigration
service
figures
.
The
majority
of
the
arrivals
were
from
North
America,
representing
some
610.000
arrivals,
most
of
them
for
tourism
purposes.
