Workers
To
Work
Free
On
Saturday
As a
show
of
solidarity
and
support
to
the
financial
crisis
faced
by
the
Caja
Costarricense
del
Seguro
Social
(CCSS),
all
hospital
administration
workers
at
the
Calderón
Guardia
will
donate
their
day
of
labour
to
the
cause.
The
initiative
will
mean
a
savings
of
˘700
milion
colones
and
in
the
billions
if
every
one
of
the
50.000
CCSS
employees
would
donate
one
day's
work.
The
head
of
the
Calderon
Guardia,
Dr.
Luis
Paulino
Hernández,
said
there
is
hope
that
the
example
set
by
administrative
workers
will
be
imitated
by
medical
and
paramedical
staff
of
the
hospital.
