Arrivals
Increased,
Tourism
Says
It
Has
Not
Felt
The
Effect
While
the
Instituto
Costarricense
de
Turismo
(ICT)
gloats
on
the
increase
of
arrivals
for
the
first
half
of
the
year,
where
a
total
of
1.285.000
entries
were
recorded
at
all
ports
of
entry,
hotel
and
tourism
operators
say
they
haven't
seen
the
effects.

The
number
of
arrivals
in
the
first
half
of
this
year
is a
7.4%
increase
over
the
same
period
last
year.
The
ICT
calls
the
increase
the
fruit
of
their
labour
in
promoting
the
country
to
the
world.
However,
the
influx
of
foreigners
has
not
resulted
in
increased
numbers
of
the
tourism
sector.
