was

as

“We

that
a

with
the
global
reputation
of
IBM
has
agreed
to
come
to
San
Ramón
to
seek
highly
qualified
individuals
for
employment.
This
is
not
only
a
great
opportunity
for
residents
of
San
Ramón
and
the
Occidente
but
an
emphatic
testimonial
to
the
caliber
of
the
work
force
in
the
region
and
the
quality
of
education
UCR
and
the
other
educational
institutions
are
providing
area
youth.”
Styles
added
that
“while
it
is
our
long
term
goal
to
support
local
institutions
in
the
creation
of
jobs
in
San
Ramón
we
are
thrilled
that
IBM
has
agreed
to
come
to
our
community
to
offer
employment
opportunities
to
qualified
locals.”
It
is
estimated
that
approximately
6,000
people
commute
from
the
San
Ramón
area
to
the
Central
Valley
on a
daily
basis
for
work.
It
is
not
common
practice
for
a
multinational
to
travel
outside
the
Central
Valley
to
conduct
a
job
fair.
IBM
was
introduced
to
the
Community
Action
Alliance
through
the
U.S.
Embassy.
IBM
opened
its
doors
in
2004
and
manages
processes
of
human
resources,
finance,
administration,
customer
service,
shared
services
and
information
technology
services.
In
May
of
2012,
the
company
opened
its
new
service
center
in
information
technology
and
is
currently
looking
for
the
best
talent
in
multiple
disciplines.
Rather
than
offering
a
job,
IBM
offers
a
career
as
with
one
of
the
world's
most
valuable
global
brands.
The
Community
Action
Alliance
is a
community
based,
action

organization
focused
on
in

Development,
Citizen
Security,
and
the
Environment.
Results
are
generated
through
a
process
of
identifying
clear
and
credible
resources
and
bringing
people
together
to
develop
solutions.
