Month
In
Costa
Rica
On
average
three
earthquakes
a
day
rattled
and
rolled
Costa
Rica
in
July.
According
to
the
Red
Sismológica
Nacional
(RSN)
-
National
Seismological
Network
- at
least
91
tremors
were
recorded
for
the
month.

The
RSN
says
the
movements
in
July
were
similar
to
June
when
a
similar
number
of
earthquakes
were
recorded,
but
some
72
less
than
in
May,
when
the
average
was
5.4
tremors
daily.
The
most
active
day
in
July
was
on
the
10th,
when
8
events
were
registered.
By
contrast,
the
days
with
little
or
no
activity
were
the
8th,
24th
and
29th.
The
strongest
quake
recorded
was
a
4.3
on
the
Richter
scale,
that
earthquake
occurring
on
the
22nd,
in
the
Pacific
ocean,
south
of
Punta
Burica.
The
average
magnitude
in
July
was
3.4,
slightly
lower
than
the
average
of
3.5
in
June.
