Heavy Rain Cut Off Communities On Wednesday

The heavy rains Wednesday night left many areas temporarily cut off in San José, as water rose from the creeks and rivers that surround the capital city and backed up sewers compounded the problem.



One of those areas that was underwater as Calle Morenos in Hatillo 8, the other the Bajo de los Ledezma, between Rohrmoser (north of Plaza Mayor) and La Uruca.

For some time passage through either area was impossible as water levels and the river current made passage dangerous.

The situation is back to normal this morning.
