Colombian President to Assess Attack

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos will assess on Thursday the situation of public order in Tumaco municipality, Nariño, after a dynamite attack on a Police station, where nine people were killed.

Oficial sources reported that the leader cancelled part of his Thursday agenda and will travel to that region, where he will determine the actions to be taken after the attack that also injured over 60 people.

Interior Minister German Vargas Lleras attributed the attack to the 29th Front of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).

The organization has neither confirmed nor denied the accusation.

On the other hand, the head of Public Safety at the National Police, General Rodolfo Palomino, noted that there were security breaches in the surroundings of the station, a fact that facilitated the attack.
