Season
According
to
information
released
by
the
Instituto
Costarricense
de
Electricidad
(ICE),
Cost
Ricans
during
the
holiday
period
send
more
than
100
million
text
messages
and
made
more
than
15
million
cellular
phone
calls.
ICE
officials
say
calls
to
international
destinations
included
the
United
States,
Panama,
Nicaragua,
Colombia
and
China.
No
word
on
the
number
of
calls
and
messages
sent
through
the
other
two
cell
phone
operators
in
the
country,
Movistar
and
Claro,
who
began
operations
at
the
beginning
of
December
last.
