Nicaragua
Gets
More
Funds
for
Energy
and
Environment
(OVER)
Nicaragua
will
obtain
another
$8
million
USD
for
state
investments
in
electricity,
water,
and
protection
of
the
environment,
with
the
international
funding,
announced
the
Nicaraguan
government
through
Rosario
Murillo.
The
Executive,
headed
by
President
Daniel
Ortega,
will
sign
a
series
of
credits
and
donations
with
the
Inter
American
Bank
of
Development
this
week,
which
will
allow
increasing
investments,
said
the
coordinator
of
the
Communication
and
Citizenship
Council,
in
her
daily
TV
program
address
to
the
people.
According
to
Murillo,
the
contracts
will
provide
resources
for
the
infrastructure
work
and
the
protection
of
environmental
areas
such
as
the
basin
of
Apanas
and
Asturias
lakes,
in
the
northern
Jinotega
department.
The
priorities
of
the
Sandinist
government
include
the
increase
of
the
generating
capacity
and
the
change
of
the
energy,
in
order
to
meet
the
needs
of
the
national
economic
development
and
the
electricity
export
to
other
Central
American
nations. |
