Ricans
believe
that
presidenta
Laura
Chinchilla
does
not
have
control
of
the
government.
The
perception
is
reflected
in
the
latest
public
opinion
poll
by
Unimer.
The
survey
was
commissioned
by
the
Spanish
language
daily
La
Nacion
and
taken
between
January
4
and
10,
2012.
With
her
second
year
of
her
term
almost
up,
85%
of
respondents
state
that
Chinchilla
does
not
control
the
government,
13%
she
does
and
2%
did
not
give
an
answer.
The
poll
took
in
the
response
of
1.200
people
on
the
opinions
of
their
opinion
of
the
presidenta,
her
ministers,
on
public
spending
and
management
of
the
country.
Six
months
ago,
in
June
2011,
a
similar
poll
showed
that
78%
felt
doña
Laura
was
not
in
control,
while
14%
said
yes.
