there
was
an
earthquake
every
other
day
during
last
month,
with
Costa
Rica's
Red
Sismológica
Nacional
(National
Seismological
Network)
reporting
a
total
of
15
quakes
for
the
month.
The
two
strongest
earthquakes
registered
6.0
and
5.7
on
the
Richter
Scale,
occurring
on
June
3 in
Panama
some
100
kilometres
off
Costa
Rican
shores,
but
were
reported
felt
in
various
parts
of
Costa
Rica.
On
average
Costa
Rica
has
12
tremors
a
month.
This
month,
July,
started
off
with
three
tremors
recorded
on
Sunday,
the
first
registering
3.4
was
located
1 km
northeat
de
Rodeo
de
Tarrazú
de
San
José
at
4:23am,
the
second
a
2.8
in
Mango
Trito
de
Nicoya,
Guanacaste
at
5:39am
and
the
third
a
3.1
at
9:35pm,
14
kilometres
northeast
de
Caletas
de
Garabito
de
Puntarenas
(north
of
Playa
Jacó).
