in
the
march
to
celebrate
Gay
Pride
Day.

In
the
activity,
in
which
dozens
of
people
demanded
equal
rights
for
homosexuals,
entire
families
participated
wore
slogans
of
support.
"I
am
the
proud
mother
of a
gay,"
"I
am
the
proud
uncle
of a
gay"
or
"I
am
the
proud
sister
of a
gay"
were
some
of
the
messages
that
were
seen
during
the
demonstration.
The
march
began
at
noon
at
the
León
Cortés
statue
in
La
Sabana,
made
it
wasy
through
Paseo
Colon,
Avenia
Segunad
and
ending
at
the
Plaza
de
la
Democracia.

Similar
activities
were
held
in
other
cities
around
the
world.
Costa
Rica's
gay
and
lesbian
community
are
seeking
the
approval
of a
law
that
allows
gay
couples
to
enjoy
pensions,
social
security
and
even
inheritances,
the
same
benefit
today
as
with
unions
between
men
and
women.
The
