Survey
Starts
Today
The
Encuesta
Nacional
de
Hogares
2012
(national
household
survey)
is
on,
as
some
150
Instituto
de
Estadística
y
Censo
(INEC)
will
knock
on
13.400
homes
across
the
country.

The
survey
will
be
held
in
the
Central
Valley
until
July
16
and
onto
other
regions,
ending
by
August
3.
This
survey
is
conducted
every
July
to
determine
social,
demographic
and
economic
characteristics
of
the
population.
The
INEC
investigation
will
focus
on
two
themes:
the
access
and
use
by
Costa
Ricans
of
Tecnologías
de
Información
y
Comunicación
(Tics)
-
Information
and
Communication
Technologies,
ICTs
-
and
participation
in
cultural
events.
All
INEC
officials
will
be
carry
proper
identification,
that
includes
a
photo
badge
and
dressed
in
jackets
with
the
INEC
logo
and
leave
behind
an
information
flyer.
The
survey
will
be
conducted
between
8am
and
8pm
from
Monday
to
Saturday
and
comes
at a
cost
of
¢400
million
colones.
