Boraschi:
"Nicaragua's
Airport
Invades
Costa
Rica
Airspace"
The
Greytown
airport
in
Nicaragua,
located
in
the
Caribbean
coast,
is
the
latest
skirmish
between
the
neighbouring
countries.
Costa
Rica's
drug
czar,
Mauricio
Boraschi,
saying
that
the
construction
of
the
Greytown
airport
violates
Costa
Rican
airspace.
The
statement
was
made
before
the
Comisión
Permanente
Especial
de
Control
de
Ingreso
y
Gasto
Público
(Special
committee
on
government
income
and
expenditures).
Also
appearing
before
the
committee
was
the
ministro
de
Seguridad
Publico,
Mario
Zamora,
and

deputy
ministro
de
Seguridad,
Walter
Navarro,
who
spoke
about
the
alleged
invasion
of
the
Isla
Calero
by
Nicaragua
in
October
2010.
On
Tuesday
it
was
also
learned
that
the
Nicaraguans
will
also
build
a
border
road
similar
to
that
build
by
Costa
Rica.
The
presentation
included
photos
and
video
of
on
the
"threats
and
aggression
against
the
sovereignty
of
Costa
Rica",
with
the
Costa
Rican
officials
adding
that
the
work
(by
the
Nicaraguans)
will
cause
environmental
damage.
Nicaragua
has
made
similar
claims
and
on
Monday
the
Central
American
Court
of
Justice,
located
in
Nicaragua,
condemned
Costa
Rica
for
environmental
damage
due
to
the
construction
of a
road
parallel
to
the

Boraschi
said
described

as
"reckless".
