Xiomara
Castro
Urges
Hondurans
to
Retake
Power
Presidential
candidate
Xiomara
Castro
urged
Hondurans
to
take
the
reins
of
power
in
her
message
on
the
occasion
of
the
official
presentation,
event
that
transcends
today
in
the
national
public
opinion.
During
a
massive
rally
in
the
town
of
Santa
Barbara,
the
candidate
of
the
Free
Party
(Freedom
and
Refoundation)
proposed
a
peaceful,
democratic,
revolutionary
and
socialist
project
to
allow
access
to
development.
In
enumerating
the
problems
that
afflict
the
nation,
Castro
considered
that
bipartisanship,
representing
the
right
and
with
the
advice
of
the
most
reactionary
sector
of
the
United
States
government
has
been
responsible
for
the
current
misery
and
impoverishment
of
the
majority.
She
said
Free
Party
is
the
solution
and
wants
among
other
challenges
that
Honduras
stops
being
the
most
dangerous
country
in
the
world,
where
violence
is
one
of
the
greatest
scourges
associated
with
drug
trafficking
and
rampant
crime.
With
this
proposed
structural
change,
the
candidate
and
wife
of
former
President
Manuel
Zelaya
called
for
an
end
to
the
neoliberal
nightmare
and
to
build
together
the
democratic
socialism.
Castro
said
they
need
a
decisive
victory
in
favor
to
put
an
end
to
the
main
problem
of
the
society,
the
correlation
of
forces
in
favor
of
the
power
elites.
In
her
closing
remarks,
the
message
calls
to
complete
the
task
of
public
consultation
started
by
the
government
deposed
by
force
on
June
28,
2009,
and
replace
the
National
Constituent
Assembly.
