Sees
Increase
In
Mexican
Tourists
The
Mexican
airline,
Aeormexico,
will
inaugurate
tomorrow,
July
12,
is
direct
flight
service
between
Costa
Rica
and
Cancun,
Mexico.
The
flight
will
leave
the
Mexican
resort
city
at
10:50am
to
San
José's
Aeropuerto
Internacional
Juan
Santamaría
in
Alajuela,
according
to
the
Instituto
Costarricense
de
Turismo
(ICT).
The
ICT
says
that
there
has
been
an
increase
in
Mexican
tourists
to
Costa
Rica,
last
year
alone
with
49.000
arrivals,
with
an
expected
4.3%
increase
for
this
year.
According
to
Tourism
minister,
Allan
Flores,
Mexicans
tourists
spend
on
average
US$155
per
person,
stay
on
average
eight
days
and
take
in
activities
related
to
sustainable
tourism.
