The coats of arms are still in use by a variety of states. institutions and individuals. A coat of arms is a unique heraldic design on a shield.

Given Costa Rica's unique decision of applying the widespread use of the Bailey bridge as permanent solution to its failing bridges and thus changing the landscape of the country, the following design offers a unique symbol.
