Rutas 32 and 10 Open. For Now.

The Minsterio de Obras Publica y Transportes (MOPT) and the Policía de Tránsito (traffic police) re-opened passage on the Ruta 10 in Turrialba after a landslide forced its closure in the early hours of Saturday.



The road, an alternate to Ruta 32 of travel between San José and Limón has been closed after a landslide dumped debris on the roadway and a tree fell on a bus.

As to the Ruta 32, authorities has closed Sunday night the route between between San José and Guapiles as a preventive measure. The closure was from 7pm Sunday to 5am Monday.

The MOPT and Transito say closure of the Ruta 32 may continue tonight (Monday) depending on the weather.
