A
survey
by
Unimer
for
La
Nacion
reveals
that
three
out
four
Costa
Ricans
believe
the
government
is
corrupt
and
more
than
half
-
53%
-
rate
the
work
of
Presidenta
Laura
Chinchilla
as
"bad".

The
Presidenta
had
a
44%
"bad"
rating
only
three
months
ago,
showing
that
the
situation
is
only
getting
worse
for
the
country's
first
woman
president
and
the
the
worst
since
she
took
office
some
30
months
ago.
Only
13%
consider
the
Presidenta's
performance
as
good,
while
35%
consider
it
"normal".
The
survey
also
reveals
that
42%
of
Costa
Ricans
believe
the
government
is
"inefficiently
managed",
while
32%
believe
"it
does
know
how
to
resolve
the
problems
of
the
country".
The
survey
was
taken
between
July
5
and
11
and
took
in
the
response
of
1.200
people
across
the
country
and
has
a
margin
of
error
of
2.8%.
