Starting Monday, June 04, the written test drivers examination will be expanded to 40 questions from 25 and students will have five minutes more to answer them.

The Dirección General de Educación Vial (Directorate General for Education Road) said the new exam will be digital and with the addition of 15 more questions will allow the examiner to evaluate better the potential driver.

The minimum pass for the exam continues at 80%, so with each question worth 2.5% of the total, meaning the student can only get 8 wrong, more it will mean taking the exam over again.

The cost of the exam continues at ˘5.000 colones which must be paid at the bank before signing up to take the exam.
