actor
and
director
has
put
the
property
on
the
market
at
us$29.8
million.
The
recently
divorced
Gibson
owns
several
properties
around
the
world
including
ones
in
Australia,
Connecticut,
Montana
and
a
private
island
in
Fiji.
A
property
he
owns
in
Malibu,
California,
is
currently
on
the
market
at
$11.8
million.
The
private
500-acre
beachfront-and-jungle
holiday
home
in
Costa
Rica
first
came
on
the
market
in
2010
for
us$35
million.
The
hill-top
property's
main
residence
is a
two-story
hacienda-style
house
with
seven
bedrooms
and
eight
bathrooms,
a
large
courtyard
and
a
swimming
pool.
There
are
also
two
smaller
guest
cottages,
each
with
two
bedrooms,
a
veranda,
vaulted
ceilings,
kitchen
and
private
swimming
pool.
The
property
includes
a
Balinese
entertaining
house
with
no
walls,
a
restaurant
and
another
small
cottage
in
the
jungle.
Gibson
has
seven
children
from
his
long
marriage
which
ended
in
divorce
in
2009.
He
also
has
one
child
with
Russian
pianist
Oksana
Grigorieva,
with
whom
he
had
an
acrimonious
breakup.
Gibson
reportedly
used
the
Costa
Rican
home
during
his
legal
troubles
with
Grigorieva.
Gibson
was
also
photographed
with
her
there
in
2009,
shortly
before
his
wife
filed
for
divorce.
The
star
and
his
large
extended
family
had
used
the
estate
frequently
before
the
troubles
in
his
personal
life.
He
reportedly
retreated
to
the
Costa
Rica
holiday
home
during
his
legal
troubles
with
Grigorieva.
Gibson
was
also
photographed
with
her
there
in
2009,
shortly
before
his
wife
filed
for
divorce.
Over
the
years
the
actor
has
owned
lavish
properties
in
Malibu,
Australia,
Montana,
Connecticut,
and
even

in
Fiji.
Since
his
legal
troubles
and
a
well-publicized
anti-Semitic
remarks
made
during
his
drunk
driving
arrest,
Gibson's
acting
roles
