Client of Villalobos captured

Canadian Alvin Erwin Moss, an investor with Enrique Villalobos, known as the Brothers, was arrested in Santa Ana, San Jose, on a request by U.S. Authorities.

According to the FBI, Moss is wanted for 68 counts of postal fraud, 1 count for extortion, 16 counts for money laundering and 2 counts for smuggling.

His "gang", in 1992, defrauded thousands in investing in foreign lotteries.

According to the FBI, Moss made contact with his victims by mass mailing with offers of large prizes which never occurred.

Moss will be tried in Tennesse.

Moss was detained by Interpol and the Costa Rica DIS (Direcciσn de Inteligencia y Seguridad ) Friday morning at his home.

The investigation revealed that the Canadian is one of the affected by the closing of Ofinter, the firm operating by Villalobos. It appears that Moss $7 Million Dollars with Villalobos.

The detention held in Santa Ana Friday was part of an international operation which occurred also in Canada, the US and Austria.

In those countries arrests were also made relating to the matter, which included the arrest of the of Moss's children in Canada. More details were not available at press time.
