HTC Wildfire Has New
App-Sharing Widget For Sharing The Love
Destined for our European friends, the
Wildfire is a budget-friendly Android phone
from HTC, with their much-loved Sense
interface slicked over the top. What
separates it from others is the new
app-sharing widget that works on Twitter,
texts or email.

It's an easy way to recommend apps to your
fellow Android users, and in turn also
spreads the word of HTC's devices to those
unfamiliar with them—so it's not a
surprising move by HTC.
Specs-wise, it has a 3.2-inch QVGA
capacitive touchscreen, and 5MP camera with
auto focus and LED flash, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS,
Wi-Fi, and a 3.5mm jack. ROM is 512MB, RAM
384MB, and it runs on a Qualcomm MSM7225 528
MHz processor—during a hands-on session with
it the phone didn't lag noticeably, though
of course that could change once it's loaded
up with apps and media. Battery life is
listed at a pretty average 1300mAh.
It'll load Android 2.1 when it goes on sale
across Europe and Asia in the third quarter
of this year, available in four different
colors.
