Let’s not blind ourselves that human slaves exist in other races as well. There’s evidence of human trafficking for all kinds of reasons, even in “happy” countries like Costa Rica. World Human Rights violations remain rampant, not to focus on just one race of people.

One more case in a long tradition that dates back to the 1800′s in CR. In the early 1900′s a fire that took nearly a block in Puntarenas forced dozens of chinese workers out of an illegal compound that had them working as indentured servants. They were all white as a bedsheet and still had their ankle-length ponytails to go along. Nobody had every seen them. The story goes they were smuggled in boxes and 55 girl. drums… Seems that the fine chinese tradition of human slavery carries on!

You know I think this is very believable. I also wondered when the stadium being built by the Chinese. They were set apart from everyone. Marched to and from the job site and lived in a guarded compound. I suspect paid a dollar a day while Oscar Arias champion of the poor and enslaved. I never saw any of them mix with the population here.
