Do you have a Sala IV in the US John?. No, you don’t that is why the Wikileaks came about, ‘state secrets’ were revealed. That is why Bradley Manning is in jail. You should demand transparency at home too, and not only in Costa Rica.

“suspended” does not officially negate the law. We still have a law that prohibits revealing “political secrets”. It must be eradicated from the rule of law to enforce the most important rule of “Free Speech”. The so called “gag rule” remains at the whim of whatever politician or wan-ta be politician in this country and the Lord knows, we so very much need transparency Costa Rica.

take away freedom of the press and you will encourage corruption… Leaders must know this. I used to support this current president, no longer.

It was ill conceived law in the first place. There should be more information and journalist should and encourage to print their stories. I bet this law gets tangled up with many years in the courts. Control the press control the masses like Communist China/Cuba/North Korea/Russia does.
