It is my understanding that Riteve has a lawsuit filed against CR for denying prior requests for increases (must have been stipulated in the contract but refused to honor by CR). I agree with Daniela about monopolies but I suspect CR gave them “exclusive” in their contract. The contract is the Holy Grail and if one side signs stupidly, too bad because the populace are the victims. What does the gov’t care?

Hi I have visited costa rica several times, and vehicle motor is ridiculous the way they check the car, is like if they have first country’s roads, the infrastructure is real poor, they have road that it can be just for horses… and if the passenger’s window do not go up and down, the damned car don’t pas…. hahahahaha

WHEN will Costa Rica somehow discover that monopolies are NOT GOOD; they are BAD. VERY BAD. They ALWAYS lead to hopeless inefficiencies and egregiously high prices just like what we are suffering here, with no hope in sight.
