For many and probably most of us, these ad hominem, personal insults and name calling are not entertaining and certainly have no informative value: to the contrary. Great! So not only do the taxpayers have to fork over for extra security, be inconvenienced by re-routing traffic so that the Presidential cavalcades can smoothly pass without inconvenience or hazard, now government workers for sure and private workers possibly will be paid to wave little flags as though we really give a hoot. And the ultimate insult to those not enamored by all this hoop-de-la, we’ll have to endure publication of every facet of the foreign dignitaries visits and all the photo shoots of smiley faces and hand pumping for publicity sake. Anyone like to guess the cost of all this?
