Today we all know the outcome: Ticos 3, USA 1. The win was the result of good, hard play and teamwork. It was a fully deserved win. Both the players and fans conduct was above expectations. None of the feared disturbances occurred. I say: GOOD JOB TICOS!

Usually pull for CR but the constant crying about the snow game and acting like assholes the whole week is just too much, would be great to see a nice 3 – 0 USA victory.

I can understand they are upset with FIFA and the referee (from El Salvador) because they don’t like the ruling. But for the life of me I can’t see how this is any player or teams fault. I sure hope that most of the Ticos can rise above the “blame the gringo” mentality that getting so much coverage on this.

Interesting. The two who stated a preference want CR to win, and that’s my preference too. I don’t know why some outfits assume that gringos will automatically support the US rather than their adopted country. It would be great if the tiny soccer-crazy country beats the Goliath, especially given the fact that forcing Ticos to play in snow when they have no experience with it was unfair. (That game really should have been called off.) Alas, I’m no expert, but from watching the two teams I think the US is slightly better, so has the edge, but it’s close enough for the Ticos to prevail. Go CR!

Attention all thieves Tomorrow only in San Jose stadium the 800 police will be “controlling” the crowds. I am for the under dog go Costa Rica play your heart out. It will be a good night staying home.

I understand supporting your team but for any Costa RIcan to believe the US team had anything to do with the weather during the last match, or could influence the governing body to have the game played or continue the game if the weather conditions were deemed unsafe is just not realistic. Typically in these situations the actions of the “angry” fans provide extra motivation for the opposing team. I hope Costa RIca wins and that the fans somehow miraculously behave themselves. The later I do not hold much hope for.
