To be honest, I went to Costa Rica to see my mistress on the month of May 2014. My flight from Atlanta to San Jose was two-thirds full. I do not think the figures add up based on the availability of hotel rooms in San Jose and Jaco around that time.

Like always ICT is full of bull and lies, they count all Nicaraguans, Colombians and the rest of Latin America coming in to work as tourists, a few Ticos have US passports and Expats go back to the US to visit and come back and they are all counted as tourists CR one of the most corrupt countries on planet earth.

ICR-where is that wonderful looking place you have posted in this article ( from your archives)? I have never seen such a beautiful place and I have been in CR about 7 years -it looks like it is at the beach. It looks like it might even be a safe place to walk on the beach in the evening. Could this be possible in Costa Rica? I have heard stories about a big boxer ( a latino fron the USA) walking on the beach and being attacked , I think it was in Jaco . He said he saw a few guys and a girl hanging around at the beach and so it looked safe. And since he was a big boxer he thought it was safe to go for a walk. The 3 people turned out to be thieves just waiting for some unsuspecting person to wander into their spiderweb and his size didn’t deter the thieves, they looked like people enjoying the evening at the beach and the next minute were attacking and robbing him. These thieves are pros and not afraid to attack anyone. Onne day I was downtown at the Nicaraguan embassy/consulate and foolishly allowed my gun to be viewed from under my shirt and someone called the cops attention. They asked me for my carry permit and the older cop was cool, the younger cop wanted to take me to the station even though I had my papers. Actually I had copies of my papers and was technically carrying illegally which the older cop pointed out. Anyway I was allowed to go on my way with a warning, which I took to heart. The older cop told me to be careful about allowing my gun to be seen because he said someone would take it away from me. I thought about it and realized he was right. These thieves attack so fast and professionally I would have only been a guy with a free gun available–not a threat to any thieves. My girlfriend was on her way to work on a bus in downtown San Jose around 7 A.M and witnessed 3 thieves attack a man on the street. A big guy got the victim in a bare naked choke ( neck choke from behind) while the other 2 thieves held the victim’s arms while rifling his pockets–all in the few seconds it took for the victim to pass out from lack of oxygen and blood flow to the brain from the bare naked choke. They walk on different sides of the street and signal each other when it is time to swarm together on the victim. You wouldn’t have much of a chance unless you are a very good MMA type of mixed martial arts fighter AND really really paying extreme attention every second. I lived right smack in the middle of downtown and everyone knew me and knew I carried a gun, I thought that was what kept me safe. Now I realize that it was God who protected me. Not my “Fearsome reputation” what a laugh! I also changed guns because when I was visiting the downtown office of OIJ I saw a display of different caliber of bullets and their penetrating power shown on a thick piece of plywood.Mine was a 357 magnum and the WORST CHOICE to carry on downtown streets because I learned that it would go through the thief I was shooting and also about 6 more innocent bystanders. So I switched to a 22 magnum long rifle hollow point which fits in a small 5 shot revolver which is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, very easy to conceal and to get to in an emergency. Some idiotic woman wrote that a 22 was just enough to piss somebody off who was shot with it. This was a repeat of some statement this ill informed woman had heard on television no doubt. She obviously had ZERO actual experience with weapons or knowledge of what it actually does when it hits the target. Do you realize this is the “hitman’s” weapon of choice? The hollowpoint will go in and break up into several splinter pieces making it impossible to get out before they have done their damage to organs, arteries etc. A good choice if you buy the small 22 revolver which has the larger handle .Always easy to remember to take with you because of the comfort and ease of concealment.

Of course the numbers are skewed. Half full coming in and totally full going out. The exodus from Costa Rica is what no one in the government wants to talk about so let’s just make up some “positive” tourist numbers as a distraction.

In reading the article about the water contamination, I will now cancel my
Christmas and New Years plans to visit Costa Rica this year!! In fact , I will cancel ALL my vacation plans to C.R. until this problem is solved!!!
