I sure as heck wouldn’t feel safe with you,Santa Claus or your Tico taxi driver drunken buddies driving me on a boat…We have all seen their taxi driving and seen them in their highly mortgaged SUV’s blasting their horns at the least imagined provocation and passing like the idiots they are–on BLIND CURVES- or stopping dead in the middle of a lane …at NIGHT on a mountain road where any driver coming from behind could not see us until at the last second-and who hasn’t seen an idiot Tico on a motorcycle with his helmet pulled up so he could talk on his cell phone–at NIGHT and on a motorcycle with absolutely NO LIGHTS at all! on these no street light roads with the pot holes so deep a Volkswagen could fall in and still be unseen—No Thanks!!!! Racist? , Well a learned racisssm, learned 1st hand–YES, YES I am!!!! Where can I buy a badge for my biker jacket or better yet, a bumper sticker proudly displaying my racist bent–wait, a bumper sticker like that probably would be sold out by the Ticos buying them in bulk so they could display them to their Nica hating friends.

I feel so bad for you dear, unfortunately there are many people who drown in the pacific ocean of Costa Rica since there are vicious rip currents and no lifeguards.There is really nothing anyone can do at this point, they probably searched as best as they could, there isn’t a highly organized Coast Guard like there is in USA. This is a 3rd world country and visitors don’t realize the dangers of visiting Costa Rica. It is actually a very dangerous place on several different fronts. Don’t come here unless you are heavily insured and have a policy that is FOR SURE accepted in Costa Rica by Hospital CIMA and Hospital Clinica Biblica.Proably Blue Cross+Blue Shield or something major and a flight policy to jet you back to USA in case of severe injury . I could tell you stories that would haunt you, from Kidneys being stolen to worse.If you feel you need some closure you could hire a boat and do your own search. That in itself could be dangerous and you would need to wear life vests. Hiring a Gringo Capitan is highly recommended. Maybe doing your own search will be healing for you. God Bless.

Hi,this article is about my cousin. You seem to be resourceful in the area. We are trying to arrange a search party. Seems as though not enough is being done. Do you have any ideas? At this point we are reaching out to the local churches by email and phone. So far no luck by phone.

What a shame. He shouldn’t have been in the water there anyway.If more people realized that all the sewage from San Jose and all towns west of Jaco empty their sewage into the rivers which flow directly into the pacific in Jaco, there wouldn’t be anyone in the water at all. The 1st bridge as you come into town crosses over the river of sewage emptying into the ocean. Google “sewage flowing into Jaco” or something similar and see what you discover.
