A few years ago in a lay-over in the El S airport, I was harrassed by the police all night- they wouldn’t let me sleep (others were allowed to sleep inside the enclosure they made for us). Strange, as I was in my late sixties and female, with many entries and exits passing thru on my trips to Costa Rica. They kept tagging along with me all the way up to the flight check-in counter. Never could find out why.
