All planes are equipped with warning sirens if the plane goes below a certain speed while the wheels are still up. Therefore, (a) the pilot is deaf, or (b) they disengaged the siren because it makes too much noise, and (c) the pilot is forgetful, or (d) the wheel mechanism doesn’t work either. The FAA posts a monthly Accident Report in the U.S. Stuff like this is not uncommon.
