ps my plate was 9 months late this year…they gave me a permisso document, but I was driving all year with expired plates including many times to the border passing through the policed check point with no problems, and no questions

My only complaint is that the holes in the plate do not fit all cars and every year I have to drill new holes before I can put the plates on. And I drive the #1 most common vehicle make in Panama so I guess a lot of people have similar problems.

The publication is highly readable, with plenty of illustration, and extremely informative. It is a “must” especially for anyone building or maintaining a road or driveway of any kind.

The brief vehicle inspection is about 30$, and the plate is about 40. (New plates every year)

No need for an appointment for the inspection which takes about 5 minutes.
