Which had my hands tied up thus allowing a robber to grab my cell phone off of my belt. I have NEVER felt safe in Costa Rica. Always on my guard, always nervous in traffic because of the asshole idiots who honk before you have the chance to lift your foot off the brake and put it on the gas, and always alert to thieves of every stripe and possible assaults, kept me nervous to the point of leaving Costa Rica -never to return. The honking might not disturb the New York transplants to CR but to a person like me who loves peace and quiet and considers it an offense to be honked at, I have carried those noisy assaults with me for a long time, even after I left. Where I come from in USA when a person honks at you loudly and for no real reason, it is something which calls for a good old ass kicking --at the very least! WE hit 1st and ask questions 2nd in good 'ol redneck USA. God Bless America and don't honk your loud ass horn at me or you are asking for it! I f'in HATE that shit!----I certainly believe if these asswipe coward Ticos would get punched in the face when they do that--they will learn pretty quick. Like the Tico piece of shit who was on my ass thisclose as we drove and wound our way through San Jose streets along with everyone else, he had a mattress on top of his car and I guess he thought the road belonged to him until I slammed on my brakes in traffic. You should have seen the look on his face--Priceless! Anyway we had to continue in the parade on the same jammed street and guess what? He kept a respectful distance the rest of the way. Ha Ha--You CAN teach these monkeys after all.

Chris Thomas, After arriving in CR and being robbed on Ave Central while out buying appliances, (carrying a small stove).
