Intel Opens New Plant
Intel reported to have invested US$110 Million over a course of two years in
the construction of a new chip manufacturing plant.
Advertisers Exploit IE Flaw to Push Advertising
Internet advertising took a new twist this week.
While most everyone is aware of the ever-annoying pop-up and pop-under ads
littering the internet, advertisers have now stooped to exploiting security
flaws in Internet Explorer to push their message.
Inflation Reached 5.14 Percent/Lower Trade Balance
Deficit
Prodded by hikes in the prices of fuel, rice,
beans, eggs, and bread, mainly, the cumulate inflation for the first five
months this year reached 5.14 percent.
It was 0.67 percent in May, as compared to 0.91 percent in April.
Challenge to Export
Several institutions are prodding small-size industries to export, following
the example -basically in the food sector- set by several Costa Rican firms
which, last year, sold $486 million abroad.

Charles Edward Kasper, 66, is not a
ghost, but he has managed to be one for almost three years since he escaped
from a jail in Honduras, where he was sentenced to six years in jail for the
commercial sexual exploitation of children.

US President George W. Bush called
it "a spectacular success," partly as a fact and partly as a desire.
Leaders from the eight most industrialized countries in the world on
Thursday concluded their three-day meeting on the exclusive retreat of Sea
Island, Georgia, leaving a lot of non-substantial agreements for Bush, the
host, to boast about and a few core disagreements for his aides to keep
working on.
Venezuelan president optimistic about referendum
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez
expressed optimism Thursday about winning the slated recall referendum with
"a great victory".
"These are times of battles and we are waiting for another great victory
that is breathed in every minute and hour," Chavez said.
