Growth Rate Slow
The population of Costa
Rica continues on a slow
growth rate. The growth
rate by 2015 is expected
to be a little over 1%,
while the growth rate in
the 1980's was over 3%,
according to a report by
the Centro
Centroamericano de
Población (CCP) of the
Universidad de Costa
Rica (UCR) in
coordination with the
Instituto Nacional de
Estadística y Censos (INEC).
