The Sala Constitucional
(Constitutional Court)
has ordered the ministro
de Hacienda (Finance
minister), Guillermo
Zúñiga, to hand over to
the Spanish language
daily, La Nación, all
the information related
to the purchase of Costa
Rican bonds by China.
"Hanna" Affected 5.000
in Costa Rica
Some 5.000 people have
been directly affected
by tropical storm Hanna
in the province of
Guanacaste and
Puntarenas, as Hanna
indirectly influenced
the flooding in various
areas of the provinces.
Colón Down 21%
During the last two
years, the Costa Rican
currency, the colón, has
lost 21 percent of its
purchasing power.

Fisheries Institution (INCOPESCA
in Spanish) banned the
unloading of sharks with
their fins cut off. From
now on, only the whole
fish can be brought to
land.
Bush Won't Press Panama

WASHINGTON - President
George W. Bush does not
want Congress to vote on
a free trade agreement
with Panama before it
votes on a similar deal
with Colombia, Bush
administration officials
said on Tuesday after a
major obstacle to
approval of the Panama
agreement was removed.
