Police Come Up
Empty In Search For Stolen Drugs
Into the ninth day of the "commando" style
robbery of 320 kilos of cocaine from the
Tribunales de Justicia de Golfito, police
are still empty handed in recovering the
drug haul. Friday, a series of raids on
locations in the Southern zone and San Jose
resulted in nothing, after first police
believing they had in their hands two
suspects tied to the robbery.

Inflation 0.83%
Inflation for the first quarter of year was
0.83%, much less that the inflation of 2.25%
during the same period in 2008. The reason
for the lower inflation is based on average
lower prices in transportation, clothing,
food and beverages.
Judges Cancel
Measures Against Former
President Rodriguez
Former Costa Rican president Miguel Angel
Rodriguez (1998-2002) is again a free man. Free to
travel, free of not having to sign in at the
Tribunales every 15 days, as judges of the
Tribunal Penal de Apelaciones have removed
all measures against him in the case of PWS
reinsurer. Last year, the same court had
removed all measures against him in
the ICE-Alcatel case.
