The Costa Rican national soccer team this
morning wakes up to being in fourth place
after getting a "paliza" (a beating) on its
own turf last night by the Mexican national
soccer team.

Reduction Decision Maybe Tomorrow
Costa Rican have to wait a little long to
know if their electricity bill will drop by
7.2% as approved by the Autoridad Reguladora
de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) and
challenged in court by the Instituto
Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE).
4.5 Quake Jolts Costa Rica
A 4.5 quake shook the Pacific zone of Costa
Rica last night at 11:02pm, the epicentre
located 10 kilometres from Golfito,
according to the US Geological Survey, that
monitors earthquakes around the world.
TDMA Customers Can Keep Their Phone Numbers
Moving To 3G
The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad
(ICE) assures that come December subscribers
to the TDMA cellular network in Costa Rica
can transfer their service to the new 3G
network and without the need to get a new
number.
Sabana Sur Road Closure
The Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MPT) will
be closing, beginning today, the Sabana Sur
road from the Librería Universal to the
Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG)
to complete the last section of the road
widening.

soldiers took Manuel
Zelaya by force and put
on a plane headed for
Costa Rica, in a coup
d'etat since the Cold
War. Zelaya said he was
kidnapped by Honduran
military officers, who
dragged him from his
