AH1N1 Flu Vaccine Expected By Year's End
With the objective of containing and
mitigating the effects of the AH1N1 flu
virus in Costa Rica, the Ministerio de Salud
is preparing to begin for the mass
immunization which could start as early as
December, ahead of the expected second wave
of the virus to hit Costa Rica.
Low Rainfall Will Mean
A "Dry" October And Early Start Of the
Season
The national weather service is predicting a
"dry" October and the start of the "dry" or
summer season in Guancaste at least two
weeks ahead of normal. The dry spell is
being blamed on the effect of "El Ni๑o".

Florida Plans Export Mission to Costa Rica

Florida is organizing an export sales
mission to Costa Rica and Panama from Dec. 6
to 11. Both Central American nations rely on
Florida for goods, with Costa Rica buying
nearly us$3 billion and Panama more than
us$1.5 billion worth from the state last
year, said Enterprise Florida, the
public-private partnership organizing the
mission.

Honduran president Manuel Zelaya denounced
on Friday that the country's interim
government harassed him and the people who
are staying with him at the Brazilian
embassy in Tegucigalpa with toxic gases.

United Nations - The UN Security Council is carrying out on
Friday a consultation about the situation
sparked off in Honduras at the request of
Brazil, due to the deterioration of the
crisis in that Central American country.
