Venezuela Denounces Ploy at
OAS Meeting
CARACAS - Venezuelan Ambassador to the
Organization of American States Roy
Chaderton denounced on Wednesday that a ploy
against President Hugo Chavez is being
prepared at the OAS General Assembly in
Lima. Chaderton particularly criticized the
recent statements of Peruvian Foreign
Minister Jose Garcia Belaunde, who accused
President Chavez of torpedoing the Latin
American integration.
Addressing Venezolana de Television channel
by phone, the diplomat drew the attention to
the coincidence of Peruvian Foreign
minister's comments with an international
campaign that tries to link the Bolivarian
country with terrorism.
Belaunde followed a plan of the imperialism
which plays to destabilize the South
American country and to overthrow its
government, stressed Chaderton.
"It is not a lost bullet; Belaunde knows
what he is saying and why he is saying that
with his 40 years of diplomatic experience.
What happened was absolutely arranged,"
noted the Venezuelan ambassador.
Due to this, Chaderton considers that a ploy
against Venezuela is being prepared during
the 40th OAS General Assembly to be held
from June 6 to 8 in the Peruvian capital. |
