Small Plane Falls in
Colombia, Two Dead
BOGOTA - A civilian plane crashed today in
central Colombia and caused at least two
deaths and three wounded, national
television reported.
The aircraft, with registration HK-1548,
fell while trying to land in a runway called
Vanguardia de Villavicencio, near the
capital of the Meta province.
The pilot, who died in the accident, had
asked for help minutes before the
catastrophe, after reporting mechanical
problems.
Spokesmen for the Civil Aeronautics said
that a committee of experts had keft for the
El Cairo district to clarify details. |
